Comprehensive assessment

Psychiatric evaluations for adults

A thoughtful starting point for understanding your symptoms, history, functioning, and goals.

The full picture matters

Care begins with understanding—not assumptions.

Your evaluation explores current concerns, psychiatric and medical history, medications, sleep, stress, relationships, functioning, and previous treatment experiences. Together, we discuss impressions and appropriate next steps.

An initial psychiatric evaluation is a dedicated visit to discuss your concerns and build an understanding of your mental health. Bring information about prior treatment, current medications, and relevant medical history; available records can help inform the assessment.

Care is provided by Lisa Johnson, PMHNP-BC, MPH, founder of Thrivewell Health, through secure telehealth. You must be physically located in a jurisdiction where she is licensed or authorized to practice at each appointment. View locations served.

A complimentary 15-minute discovery call covers services, availability, fees, and practice fit. Clinical assessment and treatment recommendations take place in a scheduled clinical visit.

What to expect

Your concerns

We clarify what has changed, what is most disruptive, and what you hope care will improve.

Your history

Past treatment, health conditions, medications, family history, and life experiences provide important context.

Your plan

Recommendations may include medication, therapy, lifestyle support, further testing, or referral when appropriate.

Individualized care

Recommendations begin with clinical fit.

An evaluation does not guarantee a particular diagnosis, medication, or treatment. Some needs require in-person assessment, specialty care, or a higher level of support.
